Making a list for Santa Clause
Of all these things we thought were lost
A way to take back all this time
That’s slipping away
A list of things that once were true
To rediscover to renew
To find a way to lift this weight
That’s been dragging you down
And Was it just a dream
Those magical Decembers
As the seasons change
How can we still remember
When the falling snow could melt our cares away
And Christmas wasn’t just another day

And I’m joyful for the Holidays

Headlights do the highway
White and red begin to smear
The cars shift out of focus as the Holy Ghost appears
While two brothers in the back seat watch the whole world disappear
Bright lights they flicker
And the strongest ones fade
Happy together, growing through the pain
And the flame well it still shines but the light is not the same
A warm nostalgia flows softly still
As the snow seeps through the cracks
And some love slips to the past
